Mighty Subs Facts

An unauthorized, poorly-researched list of facts about Mighty Subs:

Did you know that...?

... contrary to popular belief, neither of President George W. Bush's daughters have ever eaten at Mighty Subs?

... Artie thought of the motto "Our small is their large" first, and only settled on the sub shop concept after other businesses didn't pan out?

... when a hell gate sprung on the equinox, releasing the demon hounds, Ed suited up in chainmail and defeated them, just as the prophecies foretold?

... Karen is the founder of Jeet-Kun-Do, "Way of the Fist", and she fled to this country from Hong Kong after killing a man there?

... pushing a specific sequence of bricks on the wall outside of Mighty Subs unlocks a secret even mightier sub shop in the basement?

... Art's last name was originally Wright-Han-Fa, but he shortened it after immigrating from Laos in the early 70s?

... the beverage fridges at Mighty Subs refill themselves every night, and nobody knows how?

... there was once a proposed Constitutional Amendment that in the event of an Electoral College tie, Ed would be the tiebreaker vote?

... every year, Artie gets a new bag of hats?

... over 80% of the world's supply of sliced turkey is used by Mighty Subs? That's over 19 metric tons every day!

The Finale

First off, thank you to everyone at Mighty Subs -- you guys are awesome, even more awesome than your subs! Thanks to everyone who's been reading this blog -- if you've had half as much fun reading this as we've had writing it, then, well, we've had twice as much fun writing it as you have had reading it. Lastly, a special thanks to DJ, who showed up and took us up on our free subs offer!

We're still curious about who posted our link to craigslist -- step forward and email us at mightymenu@gmail.com, we'd love to hear from you!

We will soon be posting some extensive analysis of our experiences with the Mighty Menu, so keep an eye out for that. And while we've finished with the regular menu, there are still plates of food we have yet to consume, not to mention all of the custom subs we've been waiting to rate.

Thanks again to everyone!

Mid-Menu Review

Alas, we have finished side one of the menu: the cold subs. Mighty Subs prides itself on its fast service, and therefore relies heavily on their cold subs as they obviously require less preparation time. When one wants a lot of food quickly and at a great value, the Mighty Subs cold subs cannot be beat.

But being the experienced Mighty-goers that we are, we have entered this experiment - no, this journey- with the prior knowledge that the true strength of Mighty Subs lies in its hot subs. The grill may be hidden in the back, but the flavors of their hot subs are not.

So while some of the cold subs have received seemingly low Mighty rankings, they should not be discarded from the Mighty rotation. They have their roll and fill it well (no sub metaphor intended). Our goal is to rank all the Mighty subs in reference to each other, and it is common knowledge that the hot subs will rank higher.

Stay tuned. It's about to get awesome.
