The Finale

First off, thank you to everyone at Mighty Subs -- you guys are awesome, even more awesome than your subs! Thanks to everyone who's been reading this blog -- if you've had half as much fun reading this as we've had writing it, then, well, we've had twice as much fun writing it as you have had reading it. Lastly, a special thanks to DJ, who showed up and took us up on our free subs offer!

We're still curious about who posted our link to craigslist -- step forward and email us at mightymenu@gmail.com, we'd love to hear from you!

We will soon be posting some extensive analysis of our experiences with the Mighty Menu, so keep an eye out for that. And while we've finished with the regular menu, there are still plates of food we have yet to consume, not to mention all of the custom subs we've been waiting to rate.

Tomorrow marks our finale of the standard subs menu at Mighty Subs. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we'd like to invite fellow idiots to join in our idiocy. So here's the deal: The first 25 people who greet us at Mighty Subs tomorrow with the secret password, "Ding Dong", whom we don't already know (otherwise it'll just be the moochers from our office...) will get a free Turkey Stuffer sub, courtesy of the Three Idiots.

These are the Mighty Subs Spicy Fries. They're... um... spicy... and um... fried.

They're the perfect compliment to some of the "lighter" fare on the menu, just the thing if you need some extra calories to fill you up after eating a smaller sub. Assigning them a Mighty Rating doesn't seem fair, because they're not the main course, only a side. But, I'll assign them one anyway.

Special Post: Sausage Mighty Muffin

We interrupt your regularly scheduled waste-of-time for a special report: The Mighty Muffin, sausage edition!

Don't let its greasy, mildly burnt look fool you, this sandwich is truly a breakfast masterpiece. The English muffin casing is toasted, which is a rarity at Mighty Subs as none of their subs come toasted. The egg is perfectly cooked to the point of being solidified but not dried out. And perhaps most importantly, the sausage is well spiced, giving the sandwich a bit of pizazz.

In my opinion, it's the best breakfast you can buy for $2.00, and one of Mighty Sub's true specialties.

Mid-Menu Review

Alas, we have finished side one of the menu: the cold subs. Mighty Subs prides itself on its fast service, and therefore relies heavily on their cold subs as they obviously require less preparation time. When one wants a lot of food quickly and at a great value, the Mighty Subs cold subs cannot be beat.

But being the experienced Mighty-goers that we are, we have entered this experiment - no, this journey- with the prior knowledge that the true strength of Mighty Subs lies in its hot subs. The grill may be hidden in the back, but the flavors of their hot subs are not.

So while some of the cold subs have received seemingly low Mighty rankings, they should not be discarded from the Mighty rotation. They have their roll and fill it well (no sub metaphor intended). Our goal is to rank all the Mighty subs in reference to each other, and it is common knowledge that the hot subs will rank higher.

Stay tuned. It's about to get awesome.
